Beautiful, dense, blue, spiny globe-shaped dried flower heads on sturdy stems.

Height 36 - 48 inches.
Cultivar Tallow Blue
Propagation By seed at 70°F or by division of older plants in spring or fall.
Cultivation Full sun in average to poor soil.
Harvest Cut blue globe thistle stems when the flowers heads are just beginning to open, at the peak of blue. We like to stripe the prickly leaves off which allows for easier handling later.
Drying Hang blue globe thistle upside down in dry, dark, open, airy place.
Blue Globe Thistle is a hardy perennial that gets bigger and better every year.
