What can you tell me about Golden Raintree? I love using the pods for my floral arrangements. Would be most interested in growing these trees myself. Your response is greatly appreciated.

Golden Rain Tree (Koelreuteria paniculata) is a tree that can reach 30 feet. Also called China-tree and Varnish-tree. They do well on a variety of soils but seem better suited to open sunshine that to shade. Apparently, it is pretty common in the South Central States. If in the north, you must protect it as it can be killed back by severe cold spells (like this year!).

Hope this little bit helps.
