Subject: bugs in dried flowers
IP: Logged

I've just received some large head strawflowers on wires with quite a few cocoon-looking things that appear to have some sort of worm in them. Also some spider web type of material. Does anyone know what these are, if they will infect my other dried flowers, or if I should just get rid of them?

First I would get these out of your house, seal them in a bag and throw them away. You do not want to introduce any bugs to your home. These may be eggs or larvae (if they are moving) which have the potential to multiply and spread.

Secondly, I would inform the company where you received them and ask for a complete refund.

I would do this immediately.
